During her bath a couple weeks ago, we were practicing anatomy by pointing out parts of the body for Gaby to name. I got to her face and said, "what are those little things on your nose and cheeks?" She didn't say anything. I asked again, "what are those little brown spots on your nose?" Still nothing. Again, "Gaby, what are those things called, the little brown spots on your nose?" She looked down at the water and then began to grin, looked up at me from under her eyebrows and said, "my nipples!" and immediately started cackling with laughter.
A couple of Friday nights ago we decided we'd take her to see Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. To make an event of it, we told her we would have a theme and the final destination was a surprise. We fixed spaghetti & meatballs for dinner, then went to Barnes & Noble to read and buy the book then went to the "movie studio" to watch the film. She loved it. When we were making dinner, Candy pulled a bag of previously made meatballs out of the freezer and said something like, "oh, look! The meatball fairy must have been here!" So I asked Gaby who she thought the meatball fairy was. She thought for half a second then said, "Aunt Zannah!" We have absolutely no idea why or where that came from but it completely cracked us up. The movie was good, too.
